DFM Consulting is a collaboration of Pam and Paul Collopy. Pam handles general management of the firm, and Paul is responsible for sales and operations.

Paul Collopy, PhD.

Paul Collopy has performed the bulk of the consulting and research activities since DFM Consulting was founded in 1996. Prior to DFM, Paul led the preliminary design of the GE45 aircraft engine family from 1990 to 1992, and subsequently directed the GE/Allison Affordability program for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) and served on the JSF Affordability IPT. He has twenty-nine years of experience and training in systems, manufacturing engineering and management, and has been a Registered Professional Engineer for over twenty years. Paul began his career in manufacturing engineering in 1977 at Procter & Gamble and moved to Thiokol in 1982. In 1983, Paul joined GE Aircraft Engines, where he completed eight management assignments in advanced engineering technology, including electrical component design; transient performance modeling, analysis and control design; and engine control software design and development.

Pam Collopy

Pam Collopy has been the president of DFM Consulting since its founding. Pam has worked with major aerospace firms where she developed a procedure to validate jet engine performance models, providing unprecedented insight into design objectives. She also analyzed the performance of aircraft systems and was responsible for the accuracy, optimization and validation of software for real-time data processing while a flight test team member for the E-2C, F-14, and X-29 aircraft.
